My Jewelry Journey & Inspirations

I’m excited to share how I began making artisan jewelry and where my inspirations come from.

I've lived on three continents, in five countries, and in seven US states. My pieces are bold and fun, truly statements of joy! You'll find me using any combination of stones, gems, corals, and shells, along with bone, wood, metals, and more!

I stumbled into jewelry-making earlier this year—completely by accident. A good friend, who had been creating artisan jewelry for about a year, invited me to give it a try. It was something I’d always thought I’d enjoy but never imagined I’d have the time to learn. Well, five hours of learning the basics was all it took—I was hooked!

So where does my inspiration come from? It starts with my multi-cultural heritage. Having an African father and a Filipino mother has given me a unique lens on culture, beauty, and craftsmanship. My deep love for cultural artistry has always shaped my life—from the way I decorate my home to the jewelry I now create.

I don’t limit myself to one style or region. My designs draw from a global palette:

- Krobo beads & recycled glass beads from Ghana

- Brass beads crafted in Africa

- Dzi beads with their rich symbolism

- Seed beads from the Philippines

- Crystals for that irresistible bling

- Gemstones sourced from around the world

- Bone both natural and batik from Kenya

Each piece is a blend of textures, colors, and traditions—assembled in a way that feels uniquely me. I’m excited to keep growing in this craft and sharing my love for cultural artistry through every design, creating statement jewelry that reflects my journey.

Our Team

At the heart of Amazing Afrique is a powerful creative partnership. Ama is the artisan — the hands, the heart, and the soul of the brand. Her artisan jewelry is deeply rooted in heritage, emotion, and storytelling, blending multicultural influences into one-of-a-kind pieces that speak to the spirit. Every design she creates is intentional, handcrafted, and infused with meaning, showcasing her passion for cultural artistry. Her husband, Robert, is the strategist — the behind-the-scenes architect who keeps the vision moving forward. He brings the structure, the tech, and the game plan, ensuring each collection launch, booth setup, and business move is built for growth. Together, Ama and Robert form the perfect rhythm — art and logic, intuition and execution. Everything you see here is built with love, culture, and purpose, making it not just jewelry, but statement jewelry that resonates with the heart.

My Products

Each piece of artisan jewelry I create carries a story — of culture, of spirit, of intention. I work with beads that have traveled continents, textures that echo tradition, and colors that feel like memory. Whether it’s Krobo glass, coral, bone, or brass, I choose every material with care and craft it by hand, one piece at a time.

These aren’t just accessories — they’re talismans of identity, moments you can wear, reminders of where you come from and where you’re going. As unique as the cultural artistry they represent, no two pieces are ever the same because no two stories are.

From my hands to yours — this is love, this is legacy, this is Amazing Afrique, and this is statement jewelry.
